Visual daily planner

One timeline instead of three competing lists

Structured drops your calendar events and your to-dos into the same vertical timeline, so a day is one picture rather than a calendar app, a task app, and a vague sense that something is due.

Free to plan a day. Pro adds calendar sync, recurring tasks and automatic rescheduling, sold monthly, yearly or as a one-off lifetime purchase.

Illustrative view. Tasks and calendar events sit in the same column, which is the entire idea.

The problem

A to-do list has no opinion about time

A list of twelve tasks looks equally plausible whether it holds two hours of work or fourteen. That is why plans collapse: the list never tells you the day is already full. A calendar knows about time but refuses to hold anything without a fixed hour, so half your obligations live somewhere else entirely.

Putting both in one column forces the arithmetic to be visible. If the blocks do not fit before midnight, the day does not fit — and you find that out in the morning rather than at 22:00 with three things untouched.

Before

  • Tasks in one app, meetings in another
  • No idea how full the day already is
  • Undone items silently roll over forever
  • Big projects sit as one intimidating line

After

  • Everything in one scrollable column
  • Free time is literally visible as empty space
  • Missed items get rescheduled deliberately
  • Sub-tasks break the big line into steps

Notable

Two features worth the mention

Energy planning

You mark how much a task will take out of you, not just how long. Useful when the constraint is capacity rather than hours.

Inbox

Dump an idea without deciding when. It waits there until you schedule it, which keeps capture separate from planning.

Replan

Missed items get swept up and offered for rescheduling instead of quietly piling up in yesterday.

Accessibility

VoiceOver, Voice Control, a dyslexia-friendly font option and multiple languages — better than most apps this size.

Focus timer

A Pomodoro timer built into the block, so starting the work and tracking it are the same action.

Widgets

The next block on the home screen and, on iOS, a live activity on the lock screen.

Automatic replanning of missed tasks

Worth naming the friction honestly: recurring tasks are behind Pro, and for a lot of people recurring tasks are the routine. Try the free tier for a week to see whether the timeline alone changes anything before paying.

Fit

Who this suits

Likely yes

  • You have never got on with plain checklists
  • You consistently underestimate how long a day holds
  • You want tasks and meetings visible in one place
  • You use several Apple devices, where the sync is strongest

Likely no

  • You need project management with collaborators and assignments
  • Your work is reactive and a planned timeline breaks by 09:30
  • You want a free forever tool with recurring tasks included
  • You already run a system that works — switching costs more than it returns

Is the free version usable?

Yes, for planning a single day. The paywall bites when you want recurring routines and calendar sync.

Is there a one-time purchase?

Pro is sold monthly, annually or as a lifetime purchase — the lifetime option is unusual and worth knowing about.

Does it replace my calendar?

It reads from it rather than replacing it. Events stay in your calendar; Structured shows them alongside your tasks.

Android or iOS?

Both, though it began on Apple platforms and the iOS version has the longer feature history, including watch and Mac apps.
